pheww! the finals of the district level debate is finally over. All the stress, tension and hard work that we have gone through because of this single match is finally gone. What we thought was going to be one hell of a fight turned out to be a piece of cake. Sdaha's stand was wrong, and so we banged them down with our rebuttals, and thought that this was a sure win. We did win, but somehow it was not a unanimous decision, and we were really shocked when told that one judge was against us. That was a real disappointing moment. Besides, the best speaker when to the negative team, and the best thing was the judges took 45 minutes to decide who the best speaker would be. There was obviously some really heated arguments in the meeting room, but what really happened? Nobody really knows. Haihzz.. now the tension is building up once again as we prepare to meet Kulai with the same topic. BUt this time, there would be a 50 50 chance that we might get negative, and therefore we should try to find the most accurate stand, unlike sdaha. Research research research. Man.. this stress is killing me.
